Next Generation System for Districts

Assessing and certifying low carbon districts

Cities are the main sources of energy consumption and carbon emissions, and districts, as important carriers of urban population and industrial agglomeration development, are the best focus for promoting global cities to achieve carbon neutrality.

What matters for low carbon districts?

Next Generation system supports the generation of as low greenhouse gas emissions as possible during planning, construction, and later use.

In addition, core issues include safety concepts, environmental compliance, and green design. Unlike other certifications, the social responsibility practices of the park construction and operation parties themselves are also a focus.

描述
What criteria are used for certification?

The Next Generation system includes 20 indicators from four themes (environmental compliance, greenhouse gas emissions reduction, Digital intelligent management and sustainability) to evaluate the overall performance of the district. It is worth noting that not every indicator is applicable to every project. The weights of each standard also vary depending on the type of district and the construction stage.

Certification Benefits

● Assist in achieving EU green standards, and enhance international applicability and comparability.

● International, independent, transparent proof of quality and sustainability.

● As a tool to achieve the local government's pollution reduction and carbon reduction policy goals in practice.

● Ensure comprehensive quality control is implemented during the planning, construction, renovation, and operation phases.
